When looking at the valve / system I have, how can I tell if it is an automatic or push button system?

Can you ship by air?
Yes, we can ship world wide.

Can I buy direct?
  Yes, you may buy direct.

Can I mount the system under the hood?
Yes, but not on the drive train or on the engine.

What are the upper temperature (installation) limits for the cylinders?
The upper temperature limit is +220° F. However, a pressure relief valve vent kit may be an option to consider for high temp applications.

Why use a 21oz cylinder instead of the 18oz cylinder?
The 21oz cylinder has a premium grade of ether and the 18oz cylinders can have size restrictions.

Are the systems installed as Original Equipment Manufactures (OEM) options?
Yes, virtually all OEM’s have our systems available as options.

Are different temperature switches available for the automatics?
Yes, there are different temperature switches available.

What is the maximum length of tubing from the valve to the nozzle?
The absolute minimum length of tubing for an automatic system is 2' and the absolute maximum is 20'. Thus, the range of tubing that can be used for automatic systems is 2' to 20'. Measured Shot systems should retain the minimum of 2' and have a maximum of 5'.

What is temperature limit for tubing?
The temperature limit for standard tubing is -65° F to +200° F. If higher temps are expected, Teflon tubing may be used up to +500° F.

Can I mount the system other than vertical?

Yes, the system may be mounted up to 45 degrees vertical with reasonable degradation in cylinder life expectancy. However we recommend where possible that the system not be mounted more than 22 degrees vertical.

Where can I get replacement cylinders or parts?
Replacement cylinders or parts may be purchased directly from KBi. In addition, most Heavy Truck, Construction, or Agricultural dealers such as Detroit Diesel, Caterpillar, John Deere, Kenworth, Etc. should have replacement parts or cylinders available.

When looking at the valve / system I have, how can I tell if it is an automatic or push button system?
The size of valve body will determine if you have a automatic or push button. Automatic systems have approximately a 1" tall valve body. Push button systems have approximately 3" valve body.
